Speaking at WordCamp DFW 2015

Edit: The video is up on WordPress.tv

I’ll be speaking this weekend at WordCamp DFW in Dallas, TX. The talk I’ll be giving is titled The Final 20%: Improving Craftsmanship in Web Development. I gave a similar talk at WordCamp Boston earlier this year, but I’ve restructured the talk with new information for WordCamp DFW.

For most of 2015 I have been on a mission to improve the efficiency and quality of my work and my business. This talk is an overview of everything I have learned about improving skills, refining processes, and creating procedures. Attendees will learn how to be a better WordPress developer and how to run a more successful business by implementing systems, processes, and automation.

WordCamp DFW will offer four tracks of talks, in addition to a Kid’s Camp track. The tracks include All User, Business, Design & Front End, and Developer. With that many tracks to choose from, attendees are sure to find a talk that fits their needs.

This will be my third WordCamp this year, after WordCamp Denver and WordCamp Boston. I’m excited to meet new people, learn new things people are doing with WordPress, and visit family. I grew up in the area so it almost feels like going home for a few days.

Next to WordCamp, the thing I’m most looking forward to is eating some real Texas BBQ!
