Speaking at WordCamp Kansas City on the Google AMP Project

WordCamp Kansas City 2016

I have been chosen to speak at WordCamp Kansas City this year on June 10-12, 2016. The focus of my talk, “Are Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) Right for Your Site?”, is all about Google’s new Accelerated Mobile Pages project.

The goal of the presentation is to dive into what accelerated mobile pages are, why they are important, and how to easily add them to your existing WordPress site. By the end of my talk, attendees will have the tools necessary to set up Google AMP on their own site and start reaping the benefits.

I spoke at WordCamp Kansas City in 2014 and I’m excited to be back this year. The organizers put on a great event the last time I was in KC, and I’m sure this year will be even better. Like every WordCamp I’ve been to, the connections that you make are often more memorable than the presentations you attend.

If you are interested in attending the 3 day conference, tickets are only $40. There will be multiple tracks to choose from with topics for users, bloggers, small business owners, designers and developers. There will also be a community support area where you can get your WordPress questions answered. I’ll even be stopping by to help out there for a few hours during the conference.

I hope to see you there. And if you see me in the hallway, stop and say hi!
